NYC: Very warm with plenty of sunshine, high 86°

Happy first-day-of-unofficial-Fall, everyone!

The end of summer can be sad, but it also signals new beginnings: Fashion Week, back to school, football games, and the start of the holiday season. Still, if you're not ready to jump on the autumn bandwagon just yet, no worries. At 86° and sunny, today's temps are a reminder that summer doesn't officially end for a couple more weeks. So, enjoy!

PS: Now's the time to snatch up sale items that will transition from summer to fall. Think colorful pieces in tomato red, army green, pumpkin, and navy... and open-toed shoes that will look adorbs with socks or tights!

Tina Tang Rose Gold Plated Flower Power Ring, $115, Goldyn; See By ChloƩ Cotton-Blend Bow Dress, $136.50 (Original price $390), theOutnet.com; Marc By Marc Jacobs Bell Shoulder Bag, $254, farfetch.com; Diane Von Furstenberg Opal Crisscross Wedge Sandals, $295, Shopbop.

If your weather is...
Colder: Pair with gray trouser slouch socks or ribbed tights. Top it off with a straw trilby hat!
